How To Cringe Less About Your Wedding Menus
You have already paid so much for your wedding, your fiancé has now put you on a tight budget and you are contemplating which limb to sell to pay for your guests menus?
No problem. Here are a few ways to cut back on costs for this stationery item.
1. Printing Methods: Don’t opt for the more expensive printing methods such as letterpress, gold foil or embossing. Keep it nice and simple with a CMYK (colour & black ink) or fancy white ink.
Remember, your choice in paper colours is all the same price as a simple white. So go crazy with your paper and ink colours - there are no price limits with this!
2. Shapes & Die Cuts: If you’re still icky with costs, you can save a few more dollars by not choosing a die cut shape, and instead, opting for a classic rectangle. Remember - sometimes, less is more.
3. Name Personalisation: You don’t have to have place/name cards! Yes, they look good, but they are not always necessary. Instead, you can choose to personalise and print each menu with your guest’s names on them.
Or, go further by not having any names on place cards or menus in general. You can let your guests have some fun and play musical chairs and choose their own seats instead!
4. Number of Menus: You don’t have to print one menu per guest. Instead, you can have 1, 2 or more menus (depending on how big your tables are) to be placed in the middle of your table for guests to take turns in looking at.
You can get creative with how to display them, whether it is with a wooden, metal or stone table holder, or a strut. You can also choose to have it printed on card stock, PVC board or even acrylic.
No need to stress anymore with your menus and these four ways will definitely help you bring your costs to a minimum with your on-the-day stationery.
